Summary
A supply and distribution manager oversees the flow of materials, services and equipment to supply defence industry companies and the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Supply and distribution managers manage inventory levels, supplier relationships and logistics to meet delivery demand and control costs. They ensure the ADF has the necessary goods, services, and equipment to support its operations effectively and efficiently.

“I joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1984 and following 26 years’ service, I resigned in 2010 for personal reasons.
In 2016 whilst undertaking reserve service at the ANZAC System Program Office, I was exposed to the establishment of the Warship Asset Management Agreement and realised that there were several opportunities to work with one of the industry participants. I applied for and accepted a role with Naval Ship Management (now Babcock) in September 2016.
